Flash is not required to use FLV Player.
Upon purchase, there is a folder called "flvplayer_no_flash" in the download that holds all of the necessary files needed to run FLV Player on your website.
In this folder you will find the following files and directories:
flvplayer (folder)
swfoject (folder)
FLVplayer.swf
index.html
Here are the steps to using the "flvplayer_no_flash" files in your own website or project.
1) Upload the entire "flvplayer_no_flash" directory to your server. You can change the name of this folder to anything you like. This folder will become the central video delivery source for any videos that you may like to display on your site.
2) Customize the embed code to point to your "flvplayer_no_flash" folder.
For example, this is the embed code as it is in the provided index.html:

Please Upgrade Your Flash Player

Now, to use this embed code on your own server with the "flvplayer_no_flash" as your central video delivery source, you can simply use the following embed code to place a video on any page on the site, without having to create multiple instances of the FLVplayer.swf or any of the other directories contained within the "flvplayer_no_flash" folder.
Please Upgrade Your Flash Player

In the new embed code, you can see that the source for all of the needed FLV Player files is now absolute urls pointing to the "flvplayer_no_flash" directory. This allows you to use the FLV Player embed code anywhere on your website. You can then use the FLV Player FlashVars to specify your video source, width, height, colors, transparencies, etc. More information on the available Flashvars can be found here.
